 The Court of Appeal sitting in Asaba, Delta State, In its decision delivered on Friday has indefinitely restrained Opeans Nigeria Limited from conducting the Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) and issuing related offshore safety certifications at its Warri and Port Harcourt facilities. The appellate court, in affirming an earlier judgment of the Delta State High Court, held that the trial court was right to restrain the company after finding that it falsely represented itself as being accredited by internationally recognised safety bodies to conduct offshore training.  Mangal Cement Industry, Iluhagba, has shown its commitment to giving back to the communities by donating drugs and medical supplies worth millions of naira, as well as food items, to its host and negbouring communities in Mopamuro and Ijumu Local Government Areas of Kogi State. The donation, made as part of the company's community social responsibility (CSR) initiative, aims to put smiles on the faces of the people, especially during the Christmas season. The Olamaboro Local Government Executive of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) has upheld the suspension of one of its chieftains in Kogi State, Captain Joe Agada (Rtd.), over alleged gross misconduct and insubordination. The suspension followed an earlier decision by the Ogugu Ward 3 Executive Council, taken pursuant to Sections 12.3(a) and 12.3(b) of the ADC Constitution, as conveyed in a letter dated December 16, 2025. The letter was jointly signed by the ADC Chairman in Olamaboro Local Government Area, Chief Peter Oguche, and the Secretary, Hon. Omachoko Faruk Musa. Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has clarified that his recent Executive Proclamation on security protocols in the state is not a declaration of a state of emergency but a set of necessary measures to enhance the security architecture to crackdown on criminals in all parts of the state.  This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon.
