The Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr Yahaya MD Farouk, has announced that efforts to ensure a steady supply of water to residents of Lokoja metropolis through the Old Lokoja Water Works will commence tomorrow morning, Thursday. The Olamaboro Local Government Executive of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) has upheld the suspension of one of its chieftains in Kogi State, Captain Joe Agada (Rtd.), over alleged gross misconduct and insubordination. The suspension followed an earlier decision by the Ogugu Ward 3 Executive Council, taken pursuant to Sections 12.3(a) and 12.3(b) of the ADC Constitution, as conveyed in a letter dated December 16, 2025. The Kaduna Polytechnic Alumni Association has held its annual Congress and Symposium in Lokoja, Kogi State, with a strong call on members to become advocates of peace and responsible communication in the quest to build a better and more united Nigeria. The event, which drew alumni from diverse professional backgrounds across the State, provided a platform for reflection on the role of effective communication in promoting national unity and preventing conflict at the grassroots and national levels.
