CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, THE OHIMEGYE IGU KINGDOM

Kogi State, Nigeria - His Royal Majesty, Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, has extended a message of hope and renewal to Christians in Kogi State and beyond on the occasion of Christmas.

In his message, HRM Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu emphasized the true meaning of Christmas, calling on Nigerians, particularly people of Kogi State, to use the significance of the season to rededicate themselves to service to humanity.

"As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let us reflect on the true meaning of Christmas - a time of love, sacrifice, and service to humanity. Let us rededicate ourselves to serving our communities, promoting unity, peace, and compassion," the monarch stated.

He wished the people of Kogi State and Nigeria a joyous Christmas season, praying that it brings hope and joy to all, especially those struggling through various challenges.

"May this season bring hope and joy to all, especially those struggling. Let us strive to be our brother's keeper, fostering harmony and understanding in Kogi State and beyond. Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!"

The 2025 Law Week of Salem University College of Law officially commenced with a highly impactful and educative visit to the High Court 1, Kogi State Judiciary Headquarters, Lokoja.  The visit marked the first in a series of events designed to expose students to the practical workings of the legal system and strengthen their professional orientation.
