Lawmaker Distributes Food Items, Releases N1m Logistics Fund to Constituents for New Year

Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, member representing Yagba East Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, has distributed food items to residents of the constituency ahead of the 2026 New Year celebration.

The items distributed include 100 bags of Maggi, 100 bags of salt, 540 bags of 10kg Semovita, and 20 bags of guinea corn. In addition, the lawmaker released N1 million for logistics across the 10 wards in Yagba East to ensure smooth distribution and wide coverage.

Hon. Kehinde Atteh, All Progressive Congress Party Chairman in the local government, received the items on behalf of the wards. He commended Obaro for the timely gesture, noting that it would go a long way in alleviating the burden of households during the festive season.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Obaro said the initiative was part of his commitment to the welfare of the people, especially during festive periods. He assured that more developmental interventions would be rolled out in the coming year, stating his focus on grassroots impact.

The food items have been dispatched to all 10 wards and distribution is expected to commence immediately. Residents have expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for remembering his people at a crucial time.
