Concerned Journalists condemn attack on Plateau NUJ Chairman, call for caution
Concerned journalists in Plateau State have strongly condemned a purported attack on the State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mrs Ayuku Pwaspo, by a supposed member of the Plateau publishers Association, Mr Andrew Nanyak. The group made the condemnation in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday. The journalists rejected what they described as an attempt by Mr. Nanyak popularly known as Shaks, to blackmail, disparage and undermine the integrity of the NUJ Chairman Nanyak was alleged to have attacked Mrs Pwaspo for not handling the leadership crisis in the state Correspondents Chapel as expected, and ciirculated on social media.
