FIDELIS BELLO: A Grassroots Mobilizer, Policy Advocate, And Development-Oriented Leader

Fidelis Bello is a dynamic and results-driven administrator, grassroots mobilizer, and seasoned project management professional with over 15 years of extensive experience across governance, business development, risk management, and community engagement. 

Renowned for his strategic thinking, leadership acumen, and unwavering commitment to public service, he has consistently demonstrated the capacity to drive impactful change at both grassroots and institutional levels.

Currently serving as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Grassroots Mobilisation to the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, 
Fidelis plays a pivotal role in strengthening the bridge between government and the people. 

In this capacity, he is actively engaged in mobilizing communities, fostering political inclusion, and ensuring that government policies and programs resonate effectively at the grassroots level. His work continues to reinforce democratic participation and deepen public trust in governance within Kogi State.

Fidelis’ journey in public service is marked by progressive leadership roles. He previously served as Councillor representing his constituency in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, where he rose to become Majority Leader of the Council. 

During his tenure, he distinguished himself as a reform-oriented legislator, spearheading the formulation and implementation of people-centered by-laws, strengthening fiscal discipline, and advocating for infrastructural development that improved the livelihoods of his constituents. 

His leadership was defined by transparency, accountability, and a strong connection to the grassroots.
Earlier in his career, after the completion of his mandatory National Youth Service Corps NYSC with the Administrative Department of rhe Federal Medical Centre, Gombe State. Fidelis proceed to served as Special Assistant to the Local Government Chairman, where he provided strategic legislative support and facilitated collaboration between executive and legislative arms of government. 

His contributions were instrumental in advancing policies and community development initiatives that promoted sustainable growth.
Beyond politics, Fidelis has built a successful career in the private sector as a Property Consultant with O Bello Global Concept Ltd, Abuja. 

In this role, he led and managed multiple real estate development projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and high-quality standards. His innovative business strategies and market insight significantly increased property sales and strengthened client relationships.

He also worked with Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc in Abuja as a Business Risk Management Specialist, where he was responsible for safeguarding critical national assets, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with strict security protocols. His efforts contributed to improved production systems and a safer operational environment.

Internationally exposed and passionate about human development, Fidelis also serves as a Teaching Assistant with Career Teacher in London, United Kingdom, where he supports students with special educational needs. His work in the education sector underscores his belief in inclusivity, empowerment, and the transformative power of 
knowledge.

Academically, Fidelis holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Project Management (Merit) from University of Sunderland. He is also pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Nasarawa State University, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGD) from Kogi State University. He obtained both his Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration from Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa and Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja respectively.

A certified PMI Practitioner and a member of globally recognized professional bodies such as the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Association for Project Management (APM), Fidelis possesses strong expertise in project delivery methodologies, including Agile frameworks, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and financial planning. 

He is proficient in modern project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Trello.
