Monday, 30th March, 2026 to Friday, 10th April, 2026 has been declared as this year's Easter vacation period for Judges of the High Court of Justice of Kogi State.

The Chief Judge of the state, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Josiah Majebi, made the declaration pursuant to Order 10 Rule 4(1) (b) of the High Court Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2025.

The vacation notice signed by the Chief Judge also added that the High Court Judges would however be attending to only urgent Motions where application is made by either of the parties to the Motion or by their respective counsel.

As the vacation implies that the High Court of Justice in the state will not be having normal sittings during the period of the vacation, the Court  will resume sitting on Monday, 13th April, 2026 according to the notice.

Meanwhile, apart from sittings of the High Court of Justice, all other courts remain operational during the period just as some other services rendered by the High Court are still obtainable.
