2027: Kogi Youths Group endorses Dr Yusuf-John for Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency Seat

The Good Governance Youths of Kogi Central on Wednesday formally announce its endorsement of Dr. Suberu Yusuf-John for the Federal House of Representatives seat representing Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

The group made the declaration in a statement signed by its General Coordinator, Isaiah Omeiza-Aaron, in Lokoja on Wednesday.

Yusuf-John, who is the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Gov. Ahmed Ododo on Road Safety Matters, had on March 18, declared his interest to contest for the Adavi/Okehi Federal constituency seat at Ege Primary School Football Field, Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi.

The youths organisation said that the endorsement became imperative following the ideals of the Good Governance Youths of Kogi Central, an organization committed to promoting peace, youth empowerment, and supporting developmental initiatives of both the federal and state governments,

"Following a careful and objective assessment of all aspirants contesting for this position, we unanimously endorse Dr Yusuf-John based on his outstanding track record in community development, youth empowerment, and consistent sponsorship of educational opportunities for the less privileged.

"He has demonstrated a value-driven and people-oriented approach to leadership, marked by integrity, competence, and a strong commitment to sustainable development and societal progress.

"At a time like this, when purposeful, effective, and responsive representation is critically needed, Dr Yusuf-John stands out as the most qualified candidate to deliver quality representation and attract meaningful development to our constituency, " it said.

The group added, "We, therefore, pledge our full support and call on all well-meaning constituents, particularly the entire youths of Kogi Central to rally behind his (Dr Yusuf-John's) aspiration."

According to group, together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive, and prosperous Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency.

Dr Yusuf-John, a politician cum Philanthropist had unveiled his pre-election initiatives, and awarded scholarships to 40 students, distributed food items to 1,500 indigents, and empowered over 100 individuals with funds and Phones on the day he declared his interest to contest.

He said that his desire to contest for the federal seat was to give the constituents a purposeful representation and leadership toward turning around the constituency's sicio- economic climate.

"My declaration today is a confession, and a cry from the heart of a son who deeply loves his people and can no longer remain silent while his land suffers.

"I'm aware of the challenges facing Adavi/Okehi federal constituency, which include poor road networks, lack of water, insecurity, and inadequate education for our teaming youths amongst others.

"I strong hope to pursue employment opportunities, training programmes, and entrepreneurship support for young people, as well as empowerment programmes for the women.

"By God's grace, I sincerely hope to
prioritize these issues if elected in the forthcoming 2027 generalelection., " he pledged.
