ICDA condemns hoodlums attack on Ibaji communities, commiserate with Victim's families.

Calls for arrest of perpetrators.

The National Executive Council of the Igala Cultural and Development Association ICDA has condemned in strong terms the recent  brutal killings of four Ibaji citizens by yet to be apprehended hoodlums.
This is as it calls on the state government and security agencies not to leave any stone unturned until the perpetrators are arrested to face the full wrath of the law.
 
In a statement signed by the  President of the Association Commodore Dr. Ahmed Abdullahi rtd  and made available to Journalists today , decried the action of the marauders who derive pleasures in the killing and destruction of people's property even without provocations.
The ICDA urge Gov. Ododo and security agencies to upscale measures to arrest the attackers and bring them to justice to serve as deterrent to indulgent in wanton destruction and killings of innocent people.
While urging the government and law enforcement agencies to be vigilant and pay active interest to intelligence gathering and sharing to forestall further attacks, encourage various communities to pay more attention to security challenges within their areas.
According to him, security is everybody's business, hence , communities should collaborate with security agencies to rid their environment of  hoodlums and marauders causing breach of law and order.

The ICDA President pledged  to use all lawful means to ensure every communities in Igala land are safe and secured  for people to carry out their legitimate means of livelihood. 

While charging the people of the area to remain calm and  united in this time of grief , appealed to them not to embark on reprisal but to give credible information to law enforcement agencies that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, the statement assures residents of Ibaji LGA of its preparedness to send delegation to the families of the victims of the attack and pray to God to give fortitude to the families of the deceased to bear the loss.
