2027: ADC’s Aminu Suleiman Joins Kogi East Senatorial Race, Unveils Five-Point Agenda

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, has declared his intention to contest the Kogi East Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.

Suleiman made the declaration at a stakeholders’ meeting attended by party leaders and supporters across the district. He said his ambition is anchored on five key community priorities: infrastructure accountability, power sector advocacy, youth productivity, agricultural development, and transparent engagement.

Describing himself as a committed grassroots politician and philanthropist, Suleiman noted that his aspiration is driven by a desire to reposition Kogi East for sustainable growth and inclusive development.

“My ambition is not borne out of personal interest but out of a genuine desire to serve our people selflessly,” he said. “Kogi East deserves purposeful representation that will prioritise infrastructure development, empower our youths, strengthen agriculture, and ensure transparency in governance.”

He reiterated his commitment to effective lawmaking, rigorous legislative oversight, authentic representation, and youth empowerment if elected.

“I am fully committed to changing the course of Kogi East for good. That is why I am stepping forward to offer myself for service,” Suleiman stated. “When given the mandate, the world will witness remarkable improvements in both capital and human development across our senatorial district.”

Suleiman also pledged to maintain close ties with constituents through regular consultations and open communication channels.

“Representation is about engagement and accountability. I will ensure that the voices of our people are heard at the National Assembly, and that every project attracted to Kogi East directly impacts the lives of our communities,” he added.

Party leaders at the meeting expressed confidence in his capacity to fly the party’s flag in 2027, describing him as a credible and people-oriented leader.

The stakeholders’ meeting was attended by the ADC State Secretary, the Zonal Chairman, chairmen of the nine local government areas in Kogi East, and other prominent party figures from across the district.
