Eid-el-Kabir: Imbibe fear of Allah, submission - Kogi Assembly Clerk urges Muslims

CLERK of Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sule Ahmed Chogudo, has enjoined the Muslim faithful to imbibe the fear of Allah and submission to His will as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Ismail.

Chogudo who made the call in his congratulatory message to the Muslim faithful on the celebration of this year's Eid el-Kabir said the fear and submission to the will of God was paramount.

He said these  virtues constitute some of the key ingredients in building a prosperous and better society.

In the Sallah message signed by Deputy Clerk Administration and General Service, Aka Adebayo Michael and made available to newsmen, the Clerk asserted that the fear of Allah and total submission to His will were  the fulcrum of the Muslim faith.

These, he said, should be made manifest in all undertakings of the Muslim Ummah as he noted that if everyone could imbibe the fear of Allah and total submission to His will, "then our society will be better.

"Our institutions, state and the nation will develop and be better off if citizens and  workers display the fear of Allah in performing their schedules at work
he said.

Chogudo also called on Muslims to continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

He also appealed to the rich to support the less privileged in the society.
