NBSA Welcomes the New Executive Leadership Under Mr. Uche Odozor Paulinus as President

The Nigerian Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA) is delighted to announce the inauguration of its incoming Executive Committee, under the able leadership of its newly elected President, Mr. Uche Odozor Paulinus. This transition marks a new chapter in the growth and development of baseball and softball in Nigeria.

Following a successful Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Kaduna, the new leadership has pledged its commitment to advancing the vision and mission of the NBSA while upholding the principles of inclusivity, excellence, and integrity.

A Visionary Leader and Pioneer in Nigerian Baseball

Mr. Uche Udozor Paulinus brings a unique blend of sporting excellence, professional experience, and entrepreneurial acumen to his role as President of the NBSA. His distinguished profile includes:
A Pioneer Baseball Player in Nigeria: Mr. Odozor was among the early players who helped establish baseball in Nigeria.
Professional Playing Experience: He played for the prestigious Randburg Mets Baseball Club in Johannesburg, South Africa, as well as for the Stallions of Lagos, and currently represents an Abuja-based baseball club.
National Representation: He represented Nigeria at the youth level, showcasing his skills on the international stage.
Professional Career: An ex-banker with a successful career in the financial sector, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, establishing business interests in:
Aviation
Agriculture
Duty-Free Diplomatic Retail Services and Logistics
Leadership and Governance: Mr. Odozor serves on the boards of several companies, bringing governance expertise to the NBSA.
Family: Happily married with three lovely children, Mr. Odozor exemplifies the values of commitment, leadership, and family.

His deep connection to the sport, combined with his business and leadership experience, makes him uniquely qualified to lead the NBSA into its next phase of growth.

Key Priorities of the New Leadership

Under the leadership of Mr. Odozor Paulinus and the incoming Executive Committee, the NBSA aims to:
Promote Grassroots Development: Expand baseball and softball programs across schools, communities, and zones, with a special focus on the Little League initiative.
Enhance Competitiveness: Build and support national teams to represent Nigeria with distinction in regional, continental, and global competitions.
Foster Inclusion and Equity: Increase opportunities for women and youth in the sport through structured programs and dedicated resources.
Strengthen Governance: Implement transparent and accountable practices to build trust among stakeholders and partners.
Infrastructure Development: Work with stakeholders to develop and upgrade baseball and softball facilities nationwide.

Speaking on his vision for the future of the NBSA, Mr. Uche Odozor Paulinus said:
