During a recent chat with our editor, Engineer Muritala commended the Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo led government for its efforts in areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, health, and education. However, he stressed that more needs to be done in the area of security to curb the rising incidents of attacks and abductions in the state with much effect on Kogi West Senatorial District.
He highlighted the detrimental impact of the security issues on the livelihoods of the residents, noting that farmers are now afraid to go to their farms for fear of being kidnapped.

The Aare Oodua urged the Kogi State government to prioritize security measures and allocate the necessary resources to combat the prevailing security threats in the state.
He emphasized the need for proactive strategies and collaborative efforts between security agencies and local stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents.

Only time will tell if the government will rise to the occasion and fulfill its duty to protect the lives and properties of its citizens.
