Glitz and Glamour at Successful Inauguration and Fundraising Event by The Glamorous Ladies of Ogidi

The dazzling and elegant ladies of Ogidi came together in a spectacular display of unity and empowerment at their recent successful inauguration and fundraising event. Led by Mrs. Bukola Ajayi, the president of the group, the glamorous ladies of Ogidi have set out on a mission to promote unity and togetherness within the vibrant community of Ogidi.

The seeds of this remarkable group were planted during a round table discussion among the founding members at the gracious abode of Chief APS Arogundade, the Patron, back in 2019. From that initial meeting sprung a vision of a tightly knit women's ensemble dedicated to creating positive change within their community.

One of the group's key achievements thus far has been the installation of five electric poles across Ogidi, a testament to their commitment to enhancing the infrastructure and amenities within the community. Looking ahead, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Oki, the group's secretary, unveiled their plans to replace old electric poles to further improve electricity supply, a move that is expected to pave the way for increased business development in the area.

The event attracted an array of distinguished guests, including Hon. Omotayo Ishaya, Mr. O. S. Thomas, Hon. Shuaib Ipinmisho, Barrister Femi Oloruntoba, Chief Mrs. Josephine Medupin, and many others who lent their support to the group's noble cause.

The event was attended by a prestigious group of individuals including Mr. Folarin Habib, Chief Ralph Eniolorunda, Mr. Segun Alafiatayo, Prince Emmanuel Oladimeji, Chief Raphael Oloka, the Baale of Ileteju, Chief Kris Kola Maliki, Mr. Seyi Ibileke, Mr. Ajibade Olamillekan, and Princess Abosede Oluga who represented HRH Oba R.O. Sule, the Ologidi of Ogidi, among many others. The presence of these esteemed guests added to the grandeur of the occasion and enhanced the atmosphere of the event.

In her speech, Hon. Ishaya commended the women of Ogidi for their vision and dedication, highlighting her own feminist principles and endorsing any initiative that seeks to make a positive impact on society.

Mrs. Bukola Ajayi and Mrs. Joke Itabiyi, the president and vice president respectively, who joined the event virtually from the diaspora, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the guests and pledged to continue spearheading initiatives that would foster unity and drive development in Ogidi and its surrounding areas.

In addition to the distinguished guests in attendance, the event also featured a variety of entertainment attractions. The Olaga group and Okun musicians like Timmy and Oris, with his band stand, provided lively and engaging performances that captivated the audience and added to the overall enjoyment of the event.
