ADDRESS BY COMRADE (PRINCE) WILLIAMS
ENIREDONANA AKPOREHA, ON THE OFFICIAL
UNVEILING OF WORKING PEOPLE UNITED ON 6TH
MARCH 2026 AT THE PTD HOTEL, 50 MOSES
MAJEKUNDOMI STREET, UTAKO, ABUJA.

Distinguished leaders of labour, respected hardworking
class, our great market women, agile youth leaders, ever
resourceful professionals, fourth estate of the realm and
other great fellow Nigerians present.

Today marks a historic moment as we formally unveil
Working People United, a grassroots movement built on the
strength, resilience, and aspirations of ordinary Nigerians.
This movement represents the collective voice of workers,
artisans, traders, farmers, professionals, transporters, and
all hardworking citizens who form the backbone of our
great nation’s economy.

Working People United was established with a clear and
patriotic mission: to galvanize and mobilize Nigerians
across all sectors of the economy to actively participate in
shaping the future of our country and to ensure the
continuation of leadership that prioritizes national
development, economic stability, and the welfare of the
masses.

Since assuming office on May 29, 2023, President Bola
Ahmed Tinubu has taken bold and decisive steps to
reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth and shared
prosperity. Leadership is never about choosing the easy
path; it is about choosing the path that secures the future
of the nation.

The reforms and policies introduced by this administration
demonstrate courage, foresight, and commitment to
building a stronger Nigeria. There have been several pro-
working people achievements of President Bola Ahmed
Tinubu since his assumption of office
Beyond wages, the administration has introduced several
pro-people and pro-poor initiatives designed to cushion the
effects of economic reforms and support vulnerable
Nigerians.

Through expanded social investment programmes and
direct cash transfer initiatives, millions of low-income
households are being supported with financial assistance
to help them meet basic needs. These targeted

interventions are helping to protect the most vulnerable
members of society while broader economic reforms take
effect.

Policies aimed at improving access to credit for small
businesses, traders, and artisans are gradually expanding
economic opportunities at the grassroots level. These
initiatives recognize that Nigeria’s economy is driven not
only by large corporations but also by millions of
hardworking small-scale entrepreneurs across the country.
Working People United, therefore, stands as a platform to
enlighten Nigerians about these reforms, to promote
constructive engagement between government and
citizens, and to mobilize and advocate for policies that will
move the nation forward.

As we look ahead to 2027, this movement will play a critical
role in ensuring that the progress currently being made is
sustained and enhanced upon. Our goal is to mobilize
millions of workers, artisans, traders, farmers,
professionals and everyday Nigerians to support the
continuation of policies and programmes designed to
rebuild our economy and strengthen our national
institutions for a greater Nigeria

We recognize that the journey of reform is never easy.
Change often comes with temporary challenges, but history

has shown that nations that remain committed to difficult
but necessary reforms ultimately emerge stronger and
more prosperous.

Working People United movement will continue to educate,
mobilize, and empower citizens with facts and with the
vision of a better Nigeria.

We must reject the politics of misinformation, division, and
empty promises. Instead, we must embrace responsible
citizenship, constructive dialogue, and collective national
purpose.

The strength of this movement lies in its people, the toiling
working class, the mechanics in our workshops, the traders
in our markets, the farmers in our rural communities, the
drivers on our roads, the professionals in our offices, and
the young Nigerians whose dreams will shape the future of
this country.

Today’s unveiling of the Working People United is not one
of those praise singing gathering, but a movement of a
national awakening among working people who
understand that the future of Nigeria must be built through
unity, hard work, proactive and responsible leadership.

Working People United is a gathering and movement of like
minds who not only believe in the importance of good
governance but also believe that in achieving good

governance, there must be a dedicated driver, a dynamic
visionary, a committed game changer who sees beyond the
ordinary to make things work for the interests of all.

As a group committed to good governance and policy
implementation, we have seen President Bola Ahmed
Tinubu put the machinery of making Nigeria a greater
nation in motion, and therefore be encouraged to finish
what destiny has put in his hands. How do we achieve that?
It’s 4+4!

I call on all Nigerians who believe in progress, stability, and
national development to join this movement. Let us
organize peacefully, mobilize responsibly, and work
tirelessly to ensure that Nigeria continues on the path of
reform, growth, and opportunity.

Together, we will amplify the voice of the working people.
Together, we will defend the progress that has begun.
And together, we will build a stronger Nigeria for ourselves
and for generations yet unborn.

Thank you, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
