Kogi NUJ to Confer Award of Excellent Performance on COE Ankpa Provost, Dr. Fashagba

The Provost of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba is to be conferred with an Award of Excellence by the State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

The Award will be conferred on the Provost at the Grand Finale of the 2025 Press Week with the Theme: "Kogi State' s Solid Minerals: How Media Can Drive Development."

In a letter of Nomination jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Alhaji Ademu Seidu and Secretary, Comr. Segun Oyenibi, the honour is in recognition of his outstanding performance and leadership quality displayed since assumption of office.

The Statement reads "The Kogi State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has nominated you for an award of Excellence."

"The award is in recognition of your outstanding leadership since your assumption office as the Provost, College of Education, Ankpa.

"The nomination also followed the giant strides witnessed under your leadership in the areas of infrastructure development and in providing quality inclusive leadership.

It also states that "Furthermore, the award is in recognition of your invaluable contributions to the College, particularly, in your efforts aimed at improving the well-being of the Staff and Students in the areas of Learning and Teaching."

The program is scheduled to hold at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja, 25th September 2025 at 10:00am.

The statement maintained that His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor, would serve as the Special Guest of Honour while His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
