Gabriel Abinu Foundation Places Over 30 Elderly Persons on N20,000 Monthly Stipends

In a bid to uplift the living conditions of the elderly in his community, renowned philanthropist and founder of the Gabriel Abinu Foundation, Coach Ambassador Gabriel Abinu, has announced the commencement of a monthly stipend programme for senior citizens.

In a statement released on Thursday, Ambassador Abinu revealed that over 30 elderly persons from Lokoja I State Constituency will begin receiving N20,000 monthly stipends as part of the first phase of the initiative.

“It has always been my desire to make my people happy,” Abinu said. “Our aged population deserves to be cared for. That is why I am introducing this empowerment programme—to support them financially and ensure their basic needs are met.”

He further disclosed that arrangements are underway to expand the scheme to cover Lokoja II State Constituency in the coming months.

“This is just the beginning,” he added. “We are working on extending this gesture to more communities. No elderly person should be left behind.

"I am following the good work of our mentor and leader of our great party the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi State. Governor Usman Ododo is setting the pace for us to follow. He has impacted positively to both the young and the elderly Persons, that is why we are complimenting his good work we his foot Soldier's".

A representative of the foundation, described the initiative as a “timely intervention” that will greatly ease the financial burden on many elderly citizens.

Some of the beneficiaries  expressed  gratitude: “We never expected something like this. It is the first time someone has remembered us in this way. May God bless Ambassador Abinu.”

The Gabriel Abinu Foundation has become known for its grassroots-driven humanitarian efforts across Kogi State, with a focus on education, youth empowerment, and support for vulnerable groups.

Community leaders and residents have commended the gesture, urging other well-meaning individuals to emulate the philanthropic strides of Ambassador Abinu.
