On behalf of myself, and the entire management team and staff of Grosvenor Group, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Obaro of Kabba; His Royal Majesty Oba Dele Owoniyi and the entire Okun Kingdom on the demise of his beloved wife and mother of the kingdom; Olori Marie Owoniyi.


The death of a wife, mother and queen like Olori Marie Owoniyi has left an irreplaceable void not just for Obaro of Kabba Kingdom, but the entire Okun land.

In this moment of grief and mourning, we pray that May the Lord grant her rest and give to you and the entire Okun land the grace to bear the irreplaceable loss.

The attention of the Yagba West Local Government Council has been drawn to a recent publication by Sahara Reporters titled “Bandits Kill 27 in Fresh Attack on Kogi’s Yagba West As Insecurity Worsens.” The said publication is entirely false, reckless, and defamatory, constituting a deliberate attempt to misinform the public, create unnecessary panic, and discredit the ongoing efforts of the Local Government and security agencies in maintaining peace and order within Yagba West. Contrary to Sahara Reporters’ false narrative, there was no such attack, killing, or abduction anywhere in Yagba West Local Government Area.
