Charting a Legacy: FUAHSE Prepares for Inaugural Founders Day Celebration

***Prof John Emaimo Unveils Exciting Plans for Inaugural Celebration

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences Enugu, Prof John Emaimo, set the stage for an extraordinary celebration as he announced the university's inaugural founders day event, scheduled for Friday February 14th, 2025. With a resolute focus on high-quality education, research, and service in allied health sciences, the university is poised to mark a momentous milestone.

In a vibrant press conference, Prof Emaimo unveiled a series of activities which promise to captivate and inspire. The festivities will commence with the 'John Emaimo Walk for Life' on Thursday, February 13th, leading up to the grand finale at the prestigious Simi Johnson hall of the university on Friday, February 14th.

Central to the celebration is the honoring of FUAHSE's journey of transformation over 70 years. From a humble Diploma awarding Dental College to a distinguished self-degree awarding University of Allied Health Sciences, the institution has left an indelible mark on the healthcare landscape, producing exceptional health experts not only for Nigeria but across Africa.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the ultimate founder and Visitor to the University, Prof Emaimo applauded his vision in elevating and converting the institution in March 2024. With 16 accredited academic programmes under its belt, approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), FUAHSE stands as a beacon of excellence in healthcare education.

Embracing the future, the university has proactively expanded its infrastructure to meet the demands of a growing student population. With a 1,000 capacity auditorium, state-of-the-art Library and ICT block, and a soon-to-be completed administrative hub, FUAHSE is committed to fostering a conducive environment for learning and innovation.

As the inaugural founders day celebration approaches, the spirit of excellence and dedication that defines the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences Enugu is set to shine brightly. Join us in honoring the past, celebrating the present, and shaping the future of allied health sciences.
